Team Nana represented Calcot Services for Children in the 2015 Pancake Race on the 17th Feb 2015.
The annual pancake race is hosted by Launchpad Reading, which remains CSfC’s chosen Charity to support for 2015.
Dressed as lovely old nana’s, Robin, Sarah, Hayley and Emma were cheered and encouraged by staff and young people across our homes and although we unfortunately did not win the race, the award for Team Spirit was certainly well deserved.
Having raised over £300 for Launchpad for this event alone this was a fun afternoon out for all involved and help for a very worthwhile cause.
CSfC are already making plans for the 2016 pancake race and hope for this to become a regular feature in our calender.
Team Nana would like to thank everybody who came to support on the day or contributed to the sponsorship.
We pride ourselves on having created a unique ethos which is practised throughout our communities and which forms the basis for our person specification qualities.
These are warmth, genuineness, integrity, honesty, commitment, experience, knowledge, compassion, the ability to celebrate diversity, humour, empathy and respect for others.
