Calcot Services for Children Annual Report 2019-2020

July 13, 2020Calcot Services for Children

We are delighted to be contributing to our annual report, especially in this significant year where Calcot Services for Children is observing its 30th anniversary of delivering outstanding care to young people.

This milestone marks 30 years of commitment to the most vulnerable young people in society and the ethos of Calcot Services for Children has remained the same throughout this time: providing young people with a warm, caring family home and environment where they are given space to heal and flourish through a vast range of opportunities and experiences that our teams are committed to providing.

Calcot Services for Children have continued to put the children at the centre of all that we do and our teams remain committed to delivering the highest quality care, support and education. This has been recognised in inspection to be good or outstanding in all our homes and our teams and young people are extremely proud to be working and living in homes with such high standards.

Ensuring that we deliver high quality, safe and effective services to every single one of our young people has been our ongoing priority. To support this there has been considerable growth in staff teams with expanded Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Training and Operations Management Teams to work alongside our Registered Managers and staff teams to ensure the highest standards and the best care is afforded to our young people.

We stand, once again, at a period of further growth and development as we extend the range of our services. We hope that through this report you will gain an understanding of the work that we have undertaken as an organisation and the progress that we have made over the last year – most importantly the progress our young people have made through the commitment and hard work of our teams in our homes.

Looking forwards, we will continue to use best practice through skills learned through our extensive training programme, through critical reflection and learning about what we do: what we need to change and do differently and what has worked really well that can be fostered and replicated by other teams across our homes. At Calcot Services for Children we will carry our work forward by driving innovation, holding high aspirations for all young people and working to provide the highest standards of care in all our homes.
